History:

Journey Kid's was the children's ministry at Journey: A Christian Church.  It was a place where kids could go on a safari together to learn about God's love for them and the importance He plays in their lives.  It strove hard to create an exciting and wonderful hour in a child's week, with the understanding that a child's spiritual development is as important as their academic, social and emotional development and has eternal significance. The purpose of Journey Kids was to assist parents and caregivers in providing a strong spiritual foundation that consisted of an understanding of God's Word and biblical principles as well as how to apply them to everyday life.  The goal was that by the time kids completed the 6th grade, the program would have nurtured and strengthened their faith to the point where they could independently make wise choices when faced with life's difficult situations
